Fly Me To Cafe in WOW Hotel, Georgetown, Penang

Staying at WOW Hotel was the best idea I had during our trip to Penang. Why? Because there is a cafe in Penang called Fly Me To in the same building.

It’s one of the cafes in Penang that I’ve always wanted to visit because of the bohemian design with a camping tent. It looks cute, but I wondered, was the food worth the price or not? I guess you need to read to find out more!

Want to Dine at the Tent Area?

Well, there’s the trick behind it. I did some research, and you need to spend a minimum of RM150 on the total bill to dine there. If you have the budget to do so, go for it, but the glasshouse is sufficient if you want to eat. Plus, you can go outside and take a quick picture!

If you are afraid that it will be hot as fish, no worries as the five bohemian private tents are equipped with air-conditioned, but you only can spend there for a 90-minute.

What We Tried at Fly Me To Cafe

If possible, of course, we want to try everything on the menu. But, since we came here for breakfast, here are the dishes that we tried:

  • Smoke Duck Pesto Pasta – RM33
  • Fish & Chips – RM33

Since we deposited RM20 for the reservation, it will be deducted from my final bill.

Lili Thoughts

Fly Me To Cafe received 3.3 stars on Google review, and due to that, I set a low expectation, especially since the cafe is viral due to the decoration. But…

It was a really lovely breakfast I had in a long time. It’s fulfilling, and it makes me full for quite a while. Although I could say that’s quite the expensive breakfast I had there, I’m not mad.

The two dishes taste good, and that’s it.

“But Lili, why do you go for breakfast there, though?.”

Well, I heard since it’s a hot spot during lunch hour and it’s going to be a bit packed. I tried to stay away from crowded places, and I went where I could enjoy my fullest there.

So I can take pictures with the tent without any disturbance and mesmerised outside area overlooks Komtar Tower.

One tip I can give you is to make a reservation before heading there. C ick here to book via umai and do it a day before.
