Inspired by Coffee Friends, Woori Kape 우리 카페 (Our Cafe) opened its door in November 2021 with a healing concept. Located at Taman Desa Business Park, I went there with an empty stomach and chaos in my mind. With the concept, I hope one of the Taman Desa cafes would calm me down along with good food. Let’s found out more here!

What We Tried at Woori Kape

If possible, we want to try everything on the menu. But here are a few dishes we tried, and I think we also ordered some drinks!

  • French Toast with Hanrabong Kaya – RM13.50
  • Mayak Gimbap – RM14.50
  • Hotteok – RM6.50
  • Tteokbokki – RM15.00
  • Hanrabong Uyu – RM11.50
  • Jeju Tangerine Juice – RM7.00

By the way, they said they hold off the coffee menu first, so better check the menu via WhatsApp to know which one you want to try first.

Lili Thoughts

I like the concept. It’s very calming, and my mind was at ease when I sat here. The playlist is also really good, and I spot a few of my favourite songs there!

Regarding the food, I am always curious about Has and Kak Az’s cooking as they entered the Hansik contest before and won the contest (if I’m not mistaken). I was not surprised that all the food they served was good. My husband even mentioned that they prepared it thoroughly and can see that they are very sincere with it. The food is made with love.

It feels like I’m in a Korean street food area. From the hotteok to the tteokbokki and mayak gimbap, it’s good. But, the only thing I’m looking forward to is they will serve more heavy dishes soon like maybe bibimbap, as people can enjoy their time more there.

Overall, it was a nice one. Looking forward to coming back to try their seasonal or more heavy dishes soon. I appreciate that they spend their weekend serving good food while working full-time on weekdays. If you’re looking for a chill place, you should visit them on the weekend!
