My Morning Skincare Routine | 7 Steps to Get Glowy & Hydrated Skin
I’m active on Instagram stories, and sometimes my friends ask me what’s my skincare routine because I have glowy skin. Well, I’m here to breakdown first my skincare type before getting in-depth with my morning skincare routine.
My Skincare Type
I always wondered what my skincare type is, and it turns out I have a combination but on the dry type.
Another thing is, I’ve enlarged pores, and I know I can’t 100% close the pores forever but instead, make it small a bit.
So, I always put hydrating properties on my routine, hence how I create my current morning skincare routine.
Disclaimer: I'm not a dermatologist, but a beauty enthusiast. Before you switch to these products, better do a patch test first or seek professional help to avoid a mishap.

Current Morning Skincare Routine
Currently, I’m doing these seven steps, and this is what I usually do. But when I felt sluggish, I would go just for cleanser, toner, moisturiser and sunscreen.
1. Cleanser – Hollaface Refreshing Facial Cleanser
I love using this cleanser in this morning because it gave me a refreshing finish. But, if I have a bad day or my acne started to come out, COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser is my go-to cleanser for that problem.

2. Toner – Beauty of Joseon Pure Cloud Bubble Toner
The beauty of Joseon Pure Cloud Bubble Toner is my favourite toner so far. I usually used this at night, but I switch it up to morning to get more hydration and combat maskne since it contains Hyaluronic Acid.
It’s formulated with EWG Green Grade certified ingredients, weightless, vegan-friendly toner to balance, replenish and revive skin.
The Pure Cloud Bubble Toner also contains Sugar Cane Extract, which will gently exfoliate dead skin cells. The Egg Plant Extract and Tea Tree Leaf Extract promote soothing anti-inflammatory properties.
I can't give you a full review since Beauty Of Joseon announced they had renewed this product with a better one in August 2020. Instead, I will put the new product link here - Bubble Toner Green Plum + AHA.
3. Eye Cream – The Inkey List Caffeine
So far, out of all eye cream that I used, I can see results using The Inkey List Caffeine. Which is like the only eye cream that is functioning for me.
I can see it reduce dark circles, and I love mixing this eye serum with my concealer because it contains Hyaluronic acid!

4. Essence – Benton Cosmetics Snail Bee High Content Essence
My first empty bottle of Benton Cosmetics and I love to use it as my morning and skincare routine because it’s suited for sensitive, dry and itchy skin due to its hydrating function.

5. Serum – BY ECOM Spot Eraser Ampoule
This serum contains Vitamin C, which derived from 77% of kumquat extract. So, if you use this ampoule in the morning, make sure to wear sunscreen.

6. Moisturiser – Benton Cosmetics Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel
The Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel is your go-to Aloe Vera gel because it contains aloe vera leaf water, leaf juice, and extracts!
Itโs free of volatile alcohol, PEGs, artificial fragrance and contain skin-friendly cooling ingredients making it the best moisturiser for me, so far.

7. Sunscreen – Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway
If you like the strong rose smell and very velvety sunscreen, Althea is the one for you. I have using the sunscreen for a few years, but I switch to new sunscreen in the middle for a while to avoid the ingredients getting used to my skin.
