Review: Joi Natural Deodorant
Another #SapotLokal review, this time it’s a deodorant brand named Joi. I found this brand when the ads came out on my Instagram stories, and it’s absolutely a gem! It popped up when I finished my last deodorant when I needed them the most!
So, I ordered the Lavender & Bergamot Natural Deodorant since it’s their bestseller. When everything set and stone, I try it for almost a month.
The lavender one doesn’t suit because my body odour keeps on smelling bad, and there’s a white spot on my cloth. So, I emailed them to ask for a refund since they provide a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Their customer service is A+! The thing is their owner, Charlotte itself that call me and hear my honest feedback with an open heart. I end up not opt for a refund, but instead, I agreed to receive a replacement product, and I choose the Sensitive Skin Natural Deodorant.
A natural roll on deodorant specially formulated for sensitive skin. Enhanced with healthy magnesium, probiotics and chamomile essential oil, this deodorant effectively neutralizes body odour, keeps you fresh and dry, while soothing and calming your skin.
It’s their latest deodorant that is baking soda free and catered to sensitive skin! I didn’t know that I have sensitive skin until I tried this deodorant. Take note that all Joi deodorants are aluminium and paraben-free that are made from natural ingredients. This brand proudly made from Melaka, Malaysia, so shout out to them for creating this liquid roll-in formula that is vegan and cruelty-free!
Ingredients: Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Witch Hazel Extract, Magnesium Hydroxide, Arrowroot Powder, Lactobacillus Ferment, Glycerine, Xanthan Gum, Glyceryl Caprylate, Sodium Caproyl/Lauroyl Lactylate, Triethyl Citrate, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Citric Acid, p-Anisic Acid, Chamomile Essential Oil.
My honest review
Honestly, when I use the Sensitive Skin Natural Deodorant, it naturalises my body smells, and because of that, I have less body odour. Since it’s a liquid roll-on formula, a small amount is just enough for the bottle to last up to 3 months. If Charlotte didn’t tell me that, I would finish it in one month. Do take note that it’s liquidy if you put too much, hence it would give you discomfort. So, again, a little bit just enough!
I’ve tried natural cream deodorant before, so it’s more convenient to have this roll-on. Fret not, if you are a zero-waste advocate, you can clean the bottle and DIY your own deodorant, so no waste created!
Take note too, if you are an avid user of synthetic deodorant with fragrance, it takes time for your body to adjust when you use deodorants made from natural ingredients. For me, I would say roughly around 2 weeks to get my body use to wearing them, so at first, my body odour smells bad, my armpits more sweaty, but alas it’s become normal.
I bought Joi deodorant for RM39, excluding postage with my own money. But since I subscribe to their email, I get 20% off my first-time purchase on their website. When I calculate, it’s worth purchasing since it’s free from harmful ingredients that keep my body fresh and dry throughout the day.
