Welcome to a series where I tried Korean restaurants that is available in Malaysia! Since the government announced that dine-in is allowed from February 10, 2021, I want to write something to support local businesses.

I know with all the K-Drama, you have been craving that BBQ, tteokbokki or bingsu, especially during these hot days. An excellent Korean restaurant is all you need now!

Lili thoughts:

We thought the BBQ portion would be small for us but turns out it was more than enough. If you’re starving, it’s possible to order all of the things that I listed in one go. Other than that, it’s better to stick to BBQ only.

We picked the set one which consists of 500gram marinated beef striploin, dumplings and seaweed rolls. There is also a salad that acts as an appetiser and 반찬 (side dishes)!

The tteokbokki (떡볶이) is chewy and full of flavour while, the seafood pancake (해물파전) is a bit thick, but not too oily!

To end this festive, Oreo Bingsu is the perfect occasion for that. Although you feel full, your stomach will allow room for dessert.

Nothing could go wrong in Sweetree, and it’s good to see that they’re expanding from two floors to another room with Halal BBQ on it. If you’re craving Korean food, Sweetree is one of the restaurants that you can trust!
